Hospitalised patients in Singapore could soon have better access to tech and comfort with healthtech company Austco Healthcare (ASX: AHC) winning a $1.3m contract to supply their Tacera Nurse Call platform to 1,100 hospital beds.
The platform is the only one in the market which delivers Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) to patients bedsides which enables a significant expansion of tech-services in the future at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong Community Hospital where Tacera is installed.
Both hospitals, which were built as integrated healthcare developments, specifically utilise healthtech to improve patient care, efficiency and convenience.
“We are aligned with JurongHealth’s mission of advancing healthcare by synergizing technology,” said Austco Healthcare CEO, Clayton Astles.
“At Austco, our focus is on providing innovative solutions, like our exceptional Tacera nurse call system, that deliver quality care and optimize the patient experience.”
By being connected to hospital networks via VoIP, Austco has flagged plans to integrate artificial intelligence technology into Tacera in the future which would enable additional data collection and diagnostic capabilities.
Previously named Azure Healthcare (ASX: AVZ), the Company re-branded as Austco Healthcare last month when they also announced a $1.6m contract win to supply Tacera to 350 beds in Canada.
With minimal disruption to the healthcare industry through the pandemic, Austco reported a 3.9% increase in total revenue to $33m for FY20
AHC shares responded well to news of their Singapore contract to reach a high of $0.105 in morning trade, a rise of 14% on their previous $0.092 close.
