How the new Power H2 generator could be a stepping stone to hydrogen powered vehicles in Australia

While lithium, nickel and graphite enjoy their time in the clean energy sun, the new kid on the block is hydrogen, something Pure Hydrogen Corporate (ASX: PH2) is set to bring to everyday use through the launch of their new hydrogen fuel cell power generation using –  Power H2.

The range of Power H2 generators will be launched in collaboration with H2X Global and are capable of supplying electricity from hydrogen fuel, without any emissions.

“The Power H2 units have at their heart hydrogen fuel cells and powertrain that have been developed over several years,” said Pure Hydrogen CEO, Scott Brown.

“The Power H2 units demonstrate H2X’s ability to bring hydrogen-powered products to market successfully given their strong technology skills and established manufacturing and logistics supply chain which helps to bring product to market efficiently. Their technology is at the forefront of the hydrogen revolution and it is great to see it being implemented commercially.”

Sales of the Power H2 units are expected to commence in January 2020 with the units coming in four standard sizes: 5kw, 20kw, 50kw and 100kw capacity.

The units are expected to be used like traditional power generators but by using hydrogen fuel, there is no need for gasoline which has long been the standard fuel source of generators. With the exact same functionality but without the emission, Pure Hydrogen is confident they will start seeing the Power H2 units used for purposes such as back-up power and/or supply to powering mobile communication towers, businesses, hospitals, households, farms and mine sites.

The Power H2 units leverage H2X’s existing hydrogen fuel cell technology which the Company applies to the automotive industry. With a business strategy that harnesses the most efficient and effective technologies, H2X is focused on the growing hydrogen fuel cell transport market where they are already taking pre-orders on their range of hydrogen-powered vehicles.

H2X Global is a 24% stakeholder in Pure Hydrogen with Options to increase their equity to 48%.
