Smart energy Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company Simble Solutions Limited (ASX: SIS) has entered into a supporting partner agreement with the Reliable, Affordable, Clean Energy (RACE) for 2030 Cooperative Research Centre (CRC).
Simble Solutions is an Australian software company focused on energy management and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions. The Simble Energy Platform or ‘SimbleSense’ is an integrated hardware and real-time software solution that enables businesses to visualise, control and monetise their energy systems. The Company’s Software as a Service (SaaS) platform has IoT capabilities and empowers enterprises and consumers to remotely automate energy savings opportunities to reduce their energy bill.
The RACE partnership should allow Simble Solutions to progress its strategic goals and access project funding via the CRC program. The more specific benefits of the agreement are many. Simble will now be able to participate in a network of partners with overlapping interests. The prospect of supply chain partnerships will be enhanced.
It will put the Company at the forefront of developments in the energy sector and bolster its credibility with customers. Simble will also have access to both a network of the industry’s leading organisations and cost-effective applied research. Collaboration with world-leading research partners and thought leaders will be made easier, as too will the Company’s ability to provide input on project deliverables.
Delving into what makes up RACE for 2030 CRC explains why Simble Solutions is excited about the partnership. This CRC is an industry led collaboration working to boost energy productivity in Australia through research and innovation to deliver reliable, affordable and clean energy for industry and consumers.RACE for 2030 is now establishing a large consortium of industry participants, government organisations and research providers to deliver on its objectives.
The broader CRC program is the largest and most sought-after cooperative research centre by industry in Australia. The RACE CRC has $68.5M of Commonwealth funding over 10 years. With more than 221 CRCs being funded since the program’s commencement, the Australian Government has committed more than $4.4B in CRC Program funding. It is easy to see the potential for the Company to leverage off this funding commitment,
Simble Solutions operates across all segments from Commercial & Industrial, through to Small to Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) and the residential market and targets the distribution of its platform through channel partners. This means the Company can readily engage on RACE for 2030 projects under three distinct banners. The first is RACE for homes, including the development and application of new energy technologies and solutions to deliver lower costs and improved comfort for households. The second is RACE for businesses, which is targeting enhanced business energy productivity and reduced costs via digitalisation, electrification and value chain optimisation. The third is RACE for everyone, which aims to accelerate customer-centred energy transition.
Simble CEO, Ronen Ghosh, said: “We are delighted to partner with RACE for 2030 team and contribute towards the common goal of energy productivity and integrating clean, distributed energy into the grid, in order to cut bills and carbon emissions of Australian businesses and households. We look forward to our collaboration with the Commonwealth and industry partners on RACE projects and progressing with Simble’s strategic goals into 2021 and beyond.”
