Titomic and Stärke team up to provide manufacturing solutions to defence, aerospace and other industries

Manufacturing tech company Titomic (ASX: TTT) has entered into a strategic partnership with Stärke Advanced Manufacturing Group, a global player in advanced manufacturing based in South Australia, to cater to clients in high-performance sectors.

The collaboration aims to leverage the advanced manufacturing capabilities of both companies, combining Titomic’s technological skillset with Stärke’s industry connections and expertise in delivering commercial manufacturing solutions. The partnership focuses on providing innovative solutions to clients in high-performance sectors, including defence, aerospace, and automotive, to gain a competitive advantage.

Managing Director of Titomic, Herbert Koeck, said, “By combining Titomic’s advanced manufacturing tech with Stärke’s advanced manufacturing and renowned tooling and moulding solutions, we will deliver innovation to clients in sectors like defence, aerospace, and automotive, offering a range of competitive manufacturing capabilities. This partnership positions us to meet the ever-evolving needs of our clients efficiently and effectively, staying at the forefront of innovation in the manufacturing industry.”

Stärke, established in 1971, represents a group of vertically integrated advanced manufacturing companies, including QPE Advanced Manufacturing, VPG Innovation, Stärke Tooling, McMahon Metal Fabrication, Stärke Incorporated (US), and Precise Machining & Manufacturing. The company specialises in assisting various industries in producing complex, high-performance components.

Stärke’s client portfolio includes prominent names like Boeing, Bosch, DSTG, Babcock, Kongsberg, Thales, and ASC. The company provides turnkey solutions, offering end-to-end services for design, prototyping, and additive manufacturing.

The co-founder and CEO of Stärke, Al Jawhari, commented, “We are excited with the commercial possibilities arising from our partnership with Titomic. We believe that Titomic’s revolutionary cold spray technology will offer our current and future clients an impressively efficient turnkey technology that is faster, easier, and more cost-effective way to produce, maintain parts and products on demand.

“With the current rising demand on novel solutions for emerging industries this partnership is well suited to lead and deliver unprecedented end to end manufacturing services.”

Besides new partnerships, Titomic’s recent foray into the mining services industry marked a significant milestone with the sale of two D523 low-pressure cold spray systems. These sales, one in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, and the second in Texas, USA, with a combined value of $198,829, signal Titomic’s expansion into new markets and respond to the increasing demand for novel solutions in emerging industries.

Thus far, in H1 FY24, the Company has made some major strides with its high-pressure cold-spray system. It secured a contract with Airbus, the world’s fourth-largest aircraft manufacturer. It also signed a $2.4 million agreement with Sabanci University to supply its cold-spray tech to help build a novel additive manufacturing solution.

Now, as it signs on the five-decade-old business of Stärke, the Company hopes to tap a bigger, better client base before entering the new year.
