Vonex doubles customers since linking with Qantas Business Rewards

Telecommunications company Vonex (ASX: VN8) has seen an immediate uplift in customer leads, referrals and signups since partnering with Qantas Business Rewards, enabling businesses to earn Qantas Points via the purchase of Vonex products and services.

Since the partnership between Vonex and Qantas (ASX: QAN) commenced in mid-August, Vonex has notably improved its book of business to attain more long-term contracts with higher monthly spend commitments. The Company is now reporting a milestone achievement of having more than 33,000 registered users of Vonex’s PBX service.

“We are pleased to see our key success metrics of user growth, new sales and total contract value all continuing to trend positively. This reflects the strength of our proposition to new and existing business customers, and reinforces the value of our alignment with Qantas, which presents significant ongoing growth potential,” siad Vonex Managing Director, Matthew Fahey.

“We are now reaping the benefits of having revitalised our marketing campaigns in recent months, and have built a solid platform for sustainable growth in our Retail business.”

With the partnership in place, business owners are invited to earn Qantas Points by spending money with Vonex, which has an offer available in the “How To Earn Points” page of the Qantas Business Rewards website.

Prospective customers are offered 5,000 points per handset purchased, as well as 3 points for every $1 spent which includes the ongoing subscription expenses.

Businesses and individuals can then use Qantas Points accrued from all Qantas partners to redeem flights, hotel or accommodation.

The Qantas Loyalty Business has been a boon for the airline group, having reported record revenues in FY19 from the loyalty business totalling $1.65 billion which represented an 8.9% increase on the previous year.

Contributing to this, points earned across coalition partners like Vonex was up 17%.

In comparison to their other business arms, earnings from Qantas Loyalty represented $374 million whereas the flagship business – Qantas International, represented $285 million.

In September 2019, Qantas announced a major overhaul to the Frequent Flyer program which will see the Group invest $25 million on expanding the program to make it more accessible to retail flyers.
