Clean energy and smart building materials company ClearVue (ASX: CPV) is opening up plenty of doors in the Japanese market with an order received to incorporate their insulated glass into a winery greenhouse at the base of Mt Fuji.
The greenhouse project for Fujisan Winery has been built by architect Paul Ma and is part of the winery’s sustainability plans as part of the County’s wider Sustainable Development Goals.
“The innovative and high-profile nature of the project and this use of the ClearVue product is an exciting development for the Company,” said ClearVue CEO, Ken Jagger.
“We very much look forward to both updating the market on the Fujisan Winery greenhouse as it progresses and to a long working relationship with the Paul Ma Design team on future projects.”
Integrating 30 sqm of ClearVue’s integrated glass units, the greenhouse will be used to grow produce and wine stock with delivery expected in January 2021 where the winery is also expecting to open a restaurant in March.
“When we first met with ClearVue founder Victor Rosenberg we were simply blown away by the potential for deployment of the ClearVue technology and product into our sustainable architectural design projects,” said Paul Ma.
“We have watched with interest the continued commercialisation of the ClearVue product to this point and can now explore how we might deploy it in our client work.
“The winery expansion project will explore several different sustainable solutions in addition to the ClearVue technology and will itself become a destination and showcase for sustainable design worldwide.”
Greenhouse projects are emerging as a valuable market for ClearVue’s smart glass technology having earlier in the month reported that construction has begun at Murdoch University’s World-First Clear Solar Glass Greenhouse which incorporates ClearVue products.
