Pharmaceutical companies are increasingly targeting drugs nearing patent expiry, using reformulation strategies to unlock value in large, established markets. By improving the delivery and usability of known compounds, companies can access significant global opportunities while leveraging existing safety profiles.
EVE Health Group Limited (ASX:EVE) is advancing this approach, raising $0.9 million to support expansion across reformulated pharmaceutical programs targeting markets estimated to exceed US$30 billion.
EVE Health Group Chief Operating Officer Ben Rohr said the capital raise supports this strategic push.

Secures Capital to Drive Expansion
EVE Health Group’s $0.9 million placement, which was taken up by sophisticated and professional investors, was priced at $0.02 per share.
Investors participating in the raise will also receive two free attaching unlisted options for every share subscribed, exercisable at $0.04 and expiring in two years.
Red Leaf Securities acted as Lead Manager and Bookrunner to the placement.
EVE is Targeting Reformulation Opportunities
The company is developing reformulated versions of established pharmaceutical compounds using proprietary delivery and solubilisation technologies.
These are designed to enhance bioavailability, improve onset of action and increase patient convenience.
The EVE Health Group’s pipeline targets therapeutic areas including sexual health and cardiovascular treatments, using active ingredients with well-known safety profiles.
Partnership Pathways are Being Advanced
The company’s strategy includes commercialising its reformulated products through licensing or supply partnerships with pharmaceutical companies that have established regulatory, manufacturing and distribution capabilities.
This model is intended to support efficient market entry while leveraging existing industry infrastructure.
EVE Allocates Funds to Pipeline and IP
Proceeds from the placement will be used to advance development of reformulated drug candidates, progress underlying delivery technologies and support intellectual property and regulatory activities.
This includes continued work across multiple candidates targeting large therapeutic markets.
Components of Placement Require Shareholder Approval
A total of 45.2 million new shares will be issued under the placement.
Subject to shareholder approval, investors will receive 90.4 million unlisted options, with an additional 5 million options to be issued to the lead manager.
As pharmaceutical companies look for ways to extend the lifecycle of existing drugs, reformulation strategies are gaining traction. With fresh funding secured, EVE is progressing its pipeline with a focus on delivery innovation, intellectual property and potential commercial partnerships in large global markets.
