Melbourne Mum sells cloth facemask, changes LinkedIn title to ‘Designer’

Despite having been a stay-at-home Mum since the birth of her first child ten years ago, Martina Martinez is proud to be re-entering the workforce having successfully sold her first home-made cloth facemask.

The sale via the popular Facebook group for mothers, ‘Gossipy Melbourne Mums’, has prompted Martinez to further her once-burgeoning career ambitions by reducing Victoria’s COVID-19 cases as a ‘Designer’ of facemasks which are now mandatory in the State.

Showcasing the mask which was pieced together from a slightly worn Lululemon exercise top, Martinez changed her LinkedIn profile title from ‘Product Reviewer’ to ‘Designer’ and posted a photo with the comment, “So proud to be helping Melbourne’s cause with my new range of designer facemasks. Send me a message if you’d like one made, only $10 each.”

The top that Martinez used to create her designer mask retails for $199.
