Music graduate commences 3-year run up to produce most annoying jingle ever

“There’s a Hole in Your Budget, Dear Labor” – it was one of the most annoying television ads to ever be broadcast in the lead up to a Federal Election and based on the ultimate result, its sheer repetition with an insane media budget cost them the election.

With so much of the Liberals campaign centering around the budget work spearheaded by former Treasurer Josh Frydenberg, the infuriating jingle was played twice during every commercial break during prime time television in the two weeks leading up to the election.

Based on the amount of memes generated around the ad and it’s annoying jingle, public reception correlated with the shock defeat of Josh Frydenberg in the seat for Kooyong, a Liberal heartland that had previously been held by the party for 122 years. It was a seat lost amongst others for his Party by authoring that ad and allocating an unconscionable advertising budget to ensure it was played in every household for two weeks while they were just hoping to watch Bondi Rescue and The Office in peace.

Having identified the political power that such a jingle produced in the election result, music school graduate Martina Martinez has commenced work on a new jingle that she intends to sell to the highest bidding Party in 2025.

“The Libs thought they could scare voters into supporting them by highlighting the ALP’s shortcomings through a catchy tune. Oh how that backfired…” chuckled Martinez.

“Instead, identifying themselves as the Party behind the jingle associated them as the annoying Party that Australians wanted to avoid at all cost and the one Party not to vote for, based solely on how annoying that ad was.

“How Australians consume information is changing and between the reaction to the jingle and Anthony Albanese’s conservative campaign essentially just promising that he won’t embarrass Australia as a walking meme – he’s won in a landslide.”

Martinez has already commenced work on her new jingle which she promises will be 10 times more annoying than the Hole in Your Budget, Dear Labor song but who she sells it to will ultimately come down to a bidding war where she insists its release will cost someone the election.
