Office worker feigns disappointment about return to working from home

As news broke of rising Covid cases in Australia, marketing assistant Hugh Honey was the first to express disappointment about the office having to possibly revert back to working from home. For most of his co-workers, it meant they’d be hearing a lot less of him after management had to expressly order him back into the office due to incessant communication blackouts.

“More Covid cases? Oh noooooooo,” declared Honey with unusual concern.

“It’s been so great coming into work every day and having management keep an eye on us to make sure we’re actually working.

“I’m really going to miss you guys if we have to revert back to working from home until Covid disappears. Oh nooooooo.

“It’s just a shame that my internet blacks out for hours at a time at home. I’m going to call the internet providers and see if they can fix it again.”

Expressing disappointment at not getting to wake up early and catch public transport into the office each day, Honey has vowed to buy a new webcam which has been broken for the past 18 months. He hopes the stores are not all still sold out which prevented him from participating in online meetings for the past two years.
