April 20, it’s a day on the calendar looked forward to by many health enthusiasts. A day dedicated to celebrating the wonderful joys that cannabis has delivered across generations to best be known as 420 Day. The day quickly turned sour however for Hugh Honey who was arrested on possession and public nuisance charges.
A long time recreational user, Honey was spotted openly consuming cannabis down Main Street, encouraging his fellow residents to do so in celebration of 420 Day.
To his dismay, Honey was promptly approached by local police officers who undertook a body search before throwing him into the back of a divvy van.
“Can some remind these guys that it’s 420 Day,” exclaimed Honey as he sought to proclaim his innocence.
It turned out Honey came up with the idea of an amnesty for 420 Day the night before, unbeknownst to local authorities. It is unclear as to whether he was under the influence of cannabis when concocting the idea.
