It has not taken long for Katie Hopkins to find new work in Australia after big fired as the host of Big Brother, with the controversial media personality answering the call to fill a shortage of removalists on the Eastern seaboard.
Following her sacking from Big Brother, her working visa issued by Seven West Media (ASX: SWM) was cancelled, however, a dash to the deportation runway from the removalist company at the centre of the latest outbreak is set to keep the Brit in Australia.
“We’ve offered to sponsor Katie to remain in Australia because we’re short of removalists at the moment with half our Company in isolation,” said Vic Vinegar, owner of Paddy’s Removalists.
“With her affinity to answer doors in the nude, we are confident that she will be hugely popular amongst our customers so with the increase of bookings she can bring, her hiring will be a bonus for our domestic economy.”
The reprieve looks to have saved the career of Hopkins who flouted Australia’s quarantine laws by declaring her intentions to wear nothing other than a facemask when answering the door while in hotel quarantine to mock Australia’s efforts in preventing further COVID outbreaks.
Issuing her uniform as the Company’s newest removalist, Hopkins was given one disposable facemask.
