Set to drive its influencer marketing business in South East Asia, Xamble Group (ASX: XGL) has confirmed that Jason Thoe will be the man that elevates the social commerce agency to the next level as their new CEO.
The strategic appointment aims to leverage Thoe’s experience in international expansion through influencer-centric marketing solutions, a field he is best well known within from his role as Chief Operating Officer at Frontier Digital Ventures (ASX: FDV). There, Thoe played a pivotal role in leading growth initiatives across Asia, MENA, and LATAM, achieving record revenues of $80.5 million in 2023 with an annual growth rate of 32% since 2017.
“We are thrilled to have someone of Jason’s calibre joining the Xamble team as Chief Executive Officer. His experience and expertise in driving growth across a range of Southeast Asian, ASX-listed digital businesses, will be invaluable as we continue our strategy of growing and strengthening our creator base in existing and new markets across Southeast Asia and beyond,” said Ximble Executive Chairman, Ganesh Kumar Bangah.
Xamble has carved out a niche in the digital marketing landscape, offering a comprehensive suite of services including influencer marketing, social media marketing, performance marketing, and social commerce. These services cater to a diverse client base of prominent brands, providing them with growth strategies supported by Xamble’s end-to-end expertise from their offices in Malaysia and Taiwan.
“I am excited to join Xamble at this pivotal moment in its growth journey,” said Thoe, who will formally join the Company in September 2024.
“I look forward to collaborating closely with the talented team to build upon the Company’s strong foundations and deliver successful financial outcomes as the Company continues to accelerate the growth of its unique influencer platform.
“With confidence, I believe we will fully capitalise on the vast growth opportunities ahead and create exceptional value for Xamble’s communities, customers, and shareholders.”
Prior to joining Digital Frontiers, Thoe also held a senior role at iCarAsia as General Manager, Malaysia where he drove significant growth in site traffic, customer engagement, and revenue.
Xamble’s business model is centred around leveraging the power of influencers, or ‘creators’, to drive digital marketing campaigns. The Company’s revenue sources are diverse, encompassing fees from brands for marketing campaigns, performance-based incentives, and social commerce initiatives. This multifaceted approach not only enhances brand visibility and engagement but also drives measurable growth for Xamble’s clients.
The appointment of Thoe continues leadership changes since Xamble undertook a rebrand in March 2023 when it was previously known at Netcentric, following the appointments of Shereen Wong and Prateek Roy to the newly created positions of Chief Growth Officer and Chief Product Officer, respectively.
Xamble is pronounced as ‘x-em-bl’, and reflects the Group’s vision of ‘Assembling Communities’ to deliver prosperity and value to its ecosystem of brands, influencers or ‘creators’, and consumers.
For the quarter ended 31 March 2024, Xamble reported $2.77 million revenue which represented a 17% increase on the previous corresponding quarter.
