Fresh from the insane amount of fun he has had toying with cryptocurrency markets through his Twitter account, Elon Musk has announced the latest Tesla model which will be designed specifically for his adoring fans, none of which can afford the current line of Tesla electric vehicles.
The Tesla Meme will hit production lines in the coming years with the model developed and priced for his millennial fan base.
Notably, the Tesla Meme will start from $999 drive away, although its owners won’t quite be able to drive it away. Musk has also confirmed that Dogecoin will be accepted as a form of payment but he is also tipped to take that back at any time after he cashes out his holdings.
Key to its affordable pricing though, is that it does not come with an engine. Most importantly however, the Meme comes with a Tesla phone cover and keyring which its owners can use to show off their ownership of a Tesla and use it as a conversation starter to boast about their environment-saving ways.
Smashed avocado enthusiast Vic Vinegar who instantly placed an order for the Tesla Meme following Musk’s announcement, said:
“I can’t afford petrol, I can’t afford insurance, I can’t even afford driving lessons so this is the perfect car for me.”
“It’s just so great that people like me are finally having our voices heard. I’ve wanted to own a car my whole life and Elon is just so dreamy and funny, so can’t wait to show off my clean energy ways by parking my Meme in the driveway.”
Although the Meme does not include locomotive functions associated with legacy automobiles, it includes an inflatable chair inside so owners can stay dry in comfort while awaiting their Ubers.
